Your Pisces is never swayed toward one person or another. No matter who brings the kitty treat or doesn’t, Pisces love everyone equally. There is a sort of innocence that seems to be attached to that attitude. Usually, you’ll find that your cat does not relish its cuddle time with you simply for the sake of being held; rather, it likes to spend time in your lap whenever there is nothing else that needs doing. Rather than being a practical cat, though, a Pisces’s definition of “what needs doing” is to be out and discovering. It won’t usually roam over large spaces, but what you sometimes mistake as preference toward the newcomer is actually a desire to make sure that the newcomer is comfortable before your cat goes back to its often-aloof innocence.
While Pisces have a childlike quality to them, they often are covering a secretive interior. Your cat senses your emotions and will comfort you when sad, but it will not often display many emotions of its own. Because of this strange duality of reservation and empathy, your cat gets along well with just about every other possible animal combination. Cancer and Scorpio are the best matches, but it will often be the peacemaker among other pets, able to defer to the stronger, more vicious personality types while helping the quieter cats to open up. That deference can be a danger, though. If you know that there are stray cats wandering the neighborhood, you will want to take care to have your Pisces fixed. It is easy for a hormonally active Pisces to be led by another animal into any sort of rambling adventure—not just amorous, but exploratory, even into far parts of the city.
You will always be a little bit perplexed by your Pisces and its secretive nature. It tends to turn up in the strangest of places without explanation. You’ll never discover what it was doing, but you will always suspect that it had something to do with whatever item has currently gone missing. Usually, these items will turn up again soon enough, but you will always be curious about the path they trod to go between missing and found. This secretive and subtle nature means that, unlike other cats, Pisces usually like to eat alone. They prefer to avoid attention at mealtimes and so do not keep a regular schedule, instead passing by the food and water bowls whenever they feel the need for a burst of energy or refreshment.
Pisces that were abused as kittens or otherwise mistreated will manifest exceptionally antisocial and secretive traits. These cats may retreat entirely into themselves and show far less of the usually reserved friendliness of other Pisces. Rather than be initially welcoming to all comers, they will reserve their empathy and kindness only for their favorite owner, maintaining the same aloof empathy that they otherwise normally would do in a larger group. These Pisces also tend to be far more avoidant of other cats than an emotionally healthy Pisces. The good news is that because Pisces have the disposition towards compassion, if they receive that from an owner, they will be better able and more likely to reflect it. Continued love, measured according to how well your cat receives it, will always bode, no matter your cat’s current attitudes and emotions.
